For McDonald's owner/operators
Guests judge your restaurant by the stars next to your address, not the brand's. We help independent McDonald's owner/operators watch, protect and understand every store's online reputation — within Google's rules and your franchise agreement.

McDonald's ranked No. 10 in Kantar BrandZ's 2026 list of the world's most valuable brands, at $235.1 billion. That value is built in thousands of individual restaurants — about 13,700 in the U.S. at the end of 2025 — and about 95% of them are run by independent franchisees.
Consumer perceptions may also be affected by adverse commentary from third parties, including through social media or conventional media outlets, regarding the quick-service category ... or our brand, culture, operations, suppliers or franchisees.
Satisfaction is improving but still has room to grow: McDonald's scored 72 out of 100 in the 2026 American Customer Satisfaction Index, up from 70, against a quick-service average of 79. Every store's guest experience — and how it shows up online — is part of closing that gap.

When BrightLocal analysed every U.S. McDonald's Google Business Profile in February 2023, the average location had 1,231 Google reviews and a 3.5-star rating. The highest-rated location averaged 4.2 stars.
Meanwhile, BrightLocal's 2026 survey of 1,002 U.S. consumers found 68% will only use a business with four stars or more, 31% want 4.5 or more, and 74% look for reviews written in the last three months. Two stores under the same brand can look very different to a hungry guest scrolling a map.

Owner/operators are local business owners. McDonald's describes franchisees giving back 'through school donations, youth sport sponsorships, scholarships, and more,' and says 1 in 8 Americans have worked at a McDonald's restaurant.
Ronald McDonald House, supported by McDonald's, franchisees and customers, provided over 2.9 million overnight stays in 2025, helping families save $783 million in lodging and meal costs. That goodwill is earned locally — and a store's online reviews are often the first thing a neighbour sees.

In December 2024, a McDonald's in Altoona, Pennsylvania was flooded with negative Google reviews after a news event that had nothing to do with its food or service. Google removed them, telling Reuters: 'These reviews violate our policies and have been removed.'
Google's rules prohibit fake engagement, off-topic content such as 'general, political, or social commentary or personal rants,' and content posted from multiple accounts to manipulate a rating. Reviews like these can be reported. Reviews that are genuine but unflattering cannot — Google says not to report a review 'just because you disagree with it or dislike it.'

We track new reviews and ratings for every restaurant you operate and flag drops, spikes and recurring complaints so your managers see them first.
We identify reviews that break Google's or Yelp's published rules — fake, off-topic, duplicate or abusive content — and document them for reporting through the platform's official process. The platform decides; we never promise removal.
When a store is hit by a wave of reviews tied to a news event rather than a visit, we document the pattern and escalate it through the platform's reporting channels quickly.
We turn review text into a short, plain-English report per store: speed, accuracy, cleanliness, staff — so you know what guests are actually saying.
Where you have access to your store's listing, we draft replies in your voice for you to approve.

MythBetter stars = X% more revenue for every restaurant.
The best-known study of reviews and revenue (Luca, Harvard Business School) found a one-star Yelp increase raised revenue 5–9% for independent restaurants — but found that 'ratings do not affect restaurants with chain affiliation.' We don't claim a revenue percentage for McDonald's stores, and you should be wary of anyone who does.
What the evidence does support: most consumers screen businesses by star rating and recency, expect owners to respond, and Google removes reviews that break its rules — including review-bombing.
The FTC's rule on consumer reviews (16 CFR Part 465), in force since October 21, 2024, allows civil penalties of up to $53,088 per violation for fake or bought reviews and review suppression.
